The Shepherd and The Sheepcote

"When dusk falls, shepherds lead their sheep to a safe place to spend the night, where wolves or other predators cannot prey on the sleeping sheep. Usually the shepherd builds a stone enclosure with a small opening and he calls the sheep one by one into the sheepcote for the night. When all the sheep are safely inside the sheepfold, he will lie down in the opening so that nothing can come in the only door to harm the sheep.

The Shepherd always protects The Sheep!"

SHOW TIME!

Once again it is the wool season...at least for most people.  I like wool year round, not always to wear but to also have felted items to use and other things.  However several people do no care to purchase wool when it is ninety degrees out...imagine!

My sister has been busy knitting some lovely hats and fingerless mitts and leg warmers and cup cozies and all other kinds of wonderful and beautiful items.  Below are a few pictures of things that we make and take to the shows to sell.

My sister has become quite an accomplished knitter...my knitting is quit simple.

I also do a lot of felting.  Above is a felted scarf laying on top of some felted pads that I made.

I enjoy felting, you are just never quite sure how some things will turn out.

The above picture shows the felted cat toys and the felted soap and felted toy balls and felted pads and the muslin sachet bags with aromatic organic lavender from California and more knit hats and pincushions.

Here is picture of some of my natural-colored handspun yarn along with some newly dyed locks for the puffs for fiber art projects and needle felting.  Also shown are some felted wine bottle cozies...the bottles empty of course!

Tomorrow we are off to North Branch in the rain and soon Stone Lake...catch us if you can....
